The Vashon Greenmap edition #1 is IN PRINT, and we're ready to celebrate!
Saturday Dec. 12th, from 3:00–5:00 on the Village Green, come dance to local music and see Where's Green, at the Vashon Greenmap Community Release Celebration! Feast your eyes on the Electric Vehicle Showcase, and pick up your very own Vashon Greenmap—the one and only community-created map!
This party is for YOU, the Vashon community, who are the real creators, shapers, and users of this community document, that celebrates the Natural, Cultural, and Green Living resources here on Vashon.
The Island is on fire with dozens of projects and initiatives—from getting Vashon and Washington State off coal power, to empowering Vashonites to grow more of our own food, to building our own electric cars—and this party shows you WHERE the action is and HOW you can get involved!
Join the Vashon Greenmap Team, local string band The Diggers, Backbone Campaign, special guests the Vashon Electric Vehicle Association, and more, to highlight and celebrate the diversity of dynamic green projects we've got going on in our very own home.
